If an employee is changing pay periods, please follow these steps:
Moving a Bi-Weekly employee to Semi-Monthly:
- Wait for the bi-weekly pay period in which the employee changed status to be closed by payroll. Note: you may need to notify payroll of any adjustments to the employee’s paycheck during the waiting period.
- Once the pay period is closed go to Employee Maintenance > Employee Assignments > Groups and make sure you’re on the Pay Group tab.
- Click on ‘Add New’
- Select the proper pay group.
- Select the most recent date (in the past) in the Effective Date dropdown.
- Click the Save button.
Moving a Semi-Monthly employee to Bi-Weekly:
- Wait for the semi-monthly pay period in which the employee changed status to be closed by payroll. Note: you may need to notify payroll of any adjustments to the employee’s paycheck during the waiting period.
- Once the pay period is closed go to Employee Maintenance > Employee Assignments > Groups and make sure you’re on the Pay Group tab.
- Click on ‘Add New’
- Select the proper pay group.
- Select the most recent date (in the past) in the Effective Date dropdown.
- Click the Save button.
