Review templates will determine what the employee’s individual review outline will be. Each employee must have a review template assigned to them if they are to receive a review.
Review templates can be assigned directly in the employee profile by using the group feature or the default feature. To verify how review templates are currently assigned to employees in PerformSmart, please run the “Review Template Assignment” report. More information about this report can be found here.
Option 1: Directly assign a review template in the employee’s profile
To assign a review template directly, navigate to Administration > Employees and select the employee. In the Performance Information section, select the review template from the drop-down list. Click SAVE.
Please note that directly assigning a review template to an employee’s profile will override any group or default template assignments. To override a directly assigned template, choose “-select one-” from the review template drop-down list in the employee’s profile and click SAVE. The new review template assignment option will take effect.
Option 2: Assign by groups
To assign a review template utilizing the groups feature, navigate to Administration > Groups, access an existing group to add the job code, or create a new group. Find more information about groups here.
Option 3: Assign by default template
To assign employees a review template utilizing the default template feature, navigate to Administration > Review Templates, select the review template’s name, check the Default Template box, and click Save in the Tool Box.
