These functions can have&nbsp;fields associated with them so your chart displays as you expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These can be found in <strong>Administration <\/strong>&gt; <strong>Fields <\/strong>&gt;&nbsp;<strong>Hierarchy &amp; Special Function&nbsp;Fields<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hierarchy fields<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The top section of the dialog contains the Hierarchy&nbsp;fields. &nbsp;These&nbsp;fields are required for every organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The&nbsp;<strong>Unique Employee Identifier<\/strong>&nbsp;is the&nbsp;field&nbsp;in your data source which includes the Employee Number, Employee ID, or Person ID for an employee or position. &nbsp;This&nbsp;field&nbsp;can be alpha-numeric and is required to create your org chart. &nbsp;Clicking on the drop-down will display the list of&nbsp;fields available to choose from. &nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>(<strong>Note:<\/strong>&nbsp;If you are using a primary and supplementary file<\/em>(s)<em>, this is the&nbsp;field&nbsp;that &#8216;links&#8217; all the files together. &nbsp;This&nbsp;field&nbsp;must exist in all files for a successful upload and refresh.)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The&nbsp;<strong>Unique Manager Identifier<\/strong>&nbsp;field&nbsp;contains the primary Manager ID, Reports to ID, or Supervisor ID of the person or position. &nbsp;This&nbsp;field&nbsp;can be alpha-numeric and is required to create your org chart. &nbsp;Clicking on the drop-down will display the list of&nbsp;fields available to choose from.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Special function fields <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The bottom section contains the <strong>Special Function&nbsp;Fields<\/strong>. &nbsp;These&nbsp;fields are optional, but help ensure the displayed org chart appears as you desire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The\u00a0<strong>Matrix Manager<\/strong>\u00a0field\u00a0determines the alternate, or secondary, manager(s) an employee or position reports to. \u00a0This\u00a0field\u00a0is often called &#8216;Also Reports To&#8217;. \u00a0If an employee reports to three different supervisors, that employee&#8217;s primary supervisor would be listed in the\u00a0field\u00a0chosen as the Unique Manager Identifier and the other two managers would be listed in the Matrix Manager\u00a0field, separated by semi-colons. \u00a0For example: \u00a0EM1158; EM1290. \u00a0<\/li><li>The\u00a0<strong>Full Name Display<\/strong>\u00a0field\u00a0determines what detail about the alternate manager(s) displays in the org chart. \u00a0The most frequent selection is Full Name. \u00a0This would indicate that the Full Name of the alternate manager(s) would display in the org chart when looking at an employee&#8217;s box. \u00a0This\u00a0field\u00a0is required if an entry has been made in Matrix Manager, and is optional otherwise.<\/li><li>The <strong>Job Title<\/strong> field is used for the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/knowledge-base\/succession-planning-overview\/\" data-type=\"ht_kb\" data-id=\"43\">Succession Planning<\/a> module and identifies the field that will be used when selecting the title. <\/li><li>The\u00a0<strong>Vacant Position<\/strong>\u00a0field\u00a0is used to indicate, normally with a Y or N, that a position is open, vacant, or unfilled. \u00a0Not every chart will include open positions, but using this\u00a0field\u00a0allows you to take advantage of the Open Position box type that is included with each new view. \u00a0OrgPlus RealTime will recognize several options for this\u00a0field\u00a0&#8211; Y and N; Yes and No; True and False; T and F; and 1 and 0.<\/li><li>The<strong>\u00a0Assistant Position<\/strong>\u00a0field\u00a0is used to indicate, normally with a Y or N, that an employee or position is an assistant. \u00a0Not every chart will include assistant positions, but using this\u00a0field\u00a0allows you to take advantage of the Assistant box type that is included with each new view. \u00a0OrgPlus RealTime will recognize several options for this\u00a0field\u00a0&#8211; Y and N; Yes and No; True and False; T and F; and 1 and 0.<\/li><li>The\u00a0<strong>Chart User ID<\/strong>\u00a0field\u00a0is used to link a logged-in user to a box in the org chart. \u00a0The most frequently used data point is a work email address, but any unique employee identifier can be used. \u00a0This\u00a0field\u00a0is not required, but certain role limitations cannot be enforced if this special function is not used.<\/li><li>The\u00a0<strong>Employee Photo<\/strong>\u00a0field\u00a0is the\u00a0field\u00a0in your data source that contains the name of the image file that was uploaded to OrgPlus RealTime. \u00a0This ensures that an employee&#8217;s photo will display correctly in the boxes and profiles. It also allows the employee&#8217;s photo to display in the Quick Search results or the Search Panel.
