This is where hours recorded as time off, Salary or Holiday, and worked hours for non-exempt employees will be displayed. They include:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Edit <\/strong>(pencil icon)<strong> <\/strong>\u2013 Edit details of the hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;<strong>Delete<\/strong> (trash can icon) \u2013 Delete the hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;<strong>Audit Log <\/strong>(paper icon) \u2013 View details of the audit log associated with the hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hour detail definitions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is an alphabetical list of the fields that may be seen on the main Hours page or within the Detail View pop-up window when editing or adding an hours record. Access to these fields is dependent on company setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Actual <\/strong>\u2013 Actual date the hours were earned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Effective Date <\/strong>\u2013 Actual date the hours were earned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Comment \u2013<\/strong> Comment (to be) associated with the hours record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Device <\/strong>\u2013 Device where the hours record originated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Device Number \u2013<\/strong> Device where the hours record originated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hours\/Minutes <\/strong>\u2013 Number of hours and minutes attributed to the record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Organization Level drop downs \u2013 <\/strong>Organization level items assigned to the hours record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pay Type <\/strong>\u2013 Pay Type applied to the hours record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shift \u2013 <\/strong>Shift code applied to the hours record, if applicable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Source Code \u2013<\/strong> Defaults to \u201cTimeStar.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Editing an hours Record<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With the appropriate security, any item that displays on the main portion of the Hours page can be edited simply by selecting and overwriting the data within the appropriate field. When finished, click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional hours information can be edited using the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the <strong>Edit<\/strong> button to edit the hours to be changed. The Detail View pop-up window opens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adjust the field(s) as needed. At minimum, the <strong>Actual Date<\/strong>, <strong>Pay Type<\/strong>, and <strong>Hours\/Minutes<\/strong> fields must be completed. For definitions of each field, refer to the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/knowledge-base\/tracking-hours-in-the-hours-page\/#hour-detail-definitions\">Hours detail definitions<\/a>\u201d section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deleting an hours record<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An hours record can be deleted, provided it is not an auto-generated record from the system (e.g., Salary or Holiday). These records should instead be zeroed out. Use the following steps to delete all other records:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;Click the <strong>Delete<\/strong> button to the right of the hours to be removed. A warning message appears to confirm the deletion of the hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding an hours record<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a single hours record, follow the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the <strong>Add <\/strong>button at the bottom left of the page. The Detail View pop-up window opens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At minimum, the <strong>Actual Date<\/strong>, <strong>Pay Type<\/strong>, and <strong>Hours\/Minutes<\/strong> fields must be completed. For definitions of each field, refer to the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/knowledge-base\/tracking-hours-in-the-hours-page\/#hour-detail-definitions\">Hours detail definitions<\/a>\u201d section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Save.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding many hours records<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To add many hours records at once, it is best to use the Timesheet option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the left navigation tree, select <strong>Daily Procedures<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the <strong>Data Entry<\/strong> subfolder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the <strong>Timesheet<\/strong> page. A new window\/tab opens in the browser containing the Timesheet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the dropdown on the second row of the Timesheet to select the worksheet to use. These are created and customized for each install but will typically have a separate timesheet for hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find the date of the hours record and fill in the applicable fields.
