{"id":2154,"date":"2022-10-24T13:49:19","date_gmt":"2022-10-24T13:49:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=2154"},"modified":"2023-01-05T16:17:27","modified_gmt":"2023-01-05T16:17:27","slug":"how-do-i-track-my-intermittent-leave-time","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/knowledge-base\/how-do-i-track-my-intermittent-leave-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Intermittent leave"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is intermittent leave?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaves may be taken as an intermittent\/reduced schedule leave in the following situations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For the employee&#8217;s serious health condition or the serious health condition of a family member when medically necessary or when best accommodated through such scheduling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For covered service member leave when medically necessary or when best accommodated through such scheduling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For a qualifying exigency leave.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An employee requesting intermittent\/reduced schedule leave may be transferred temporarily to an available alternative position or to a part-time position with an equivalent rate and benefits if such a position better accommodates the need for intermittent\/reduced schedule leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I track intermittent leave time?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can track intermittent leave in Insperity Time and Attendance the same way you would track PTO or vacation time, by submitting it as a <a href=\"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/knowledge-base\/how-do-i-track-my-intermittent-leave-time\/#tracking-by-requests\">Request <\/a>or entering it into the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/knowledge-base\/how-do-i-track-my-intermittent-leave-time\/#tracking-by-timesheet\">Timesheet<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tracking by Requests<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can track intermittent leave time in Insperity Time and Attendance (ITA) the same way you would track PTO or vacation time by submitting it as a \u2018Request\u2019. Below is an example of how this is done.  <em>For detailed information on submitting requests, see <\/em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/knowledge-base\/requests-user-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\">Requests- User Guide<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>NOTE: if you already have permission to add hours with a pay type, then you\u2019re able to follow that workflow and choose the new pay type for intermittent leave named \u201cIntermittent Leave\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 1:&nbsp;
