Adding a succession plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To add a succession plan, click the plus<\/strong> button on the top right panel menu.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A window will display to enter the Key Position <\/strong>and the Key Employee<\/strong> for the role.  If the role is unfilled, you can leave the Key Employee<\/strong> blank.  If you would like to share the succession plan with another user in the system, select the user name* in the Shared With<\/strong> drop-down box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Only users with the succession planning permissions will be available in the drop-down list. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have now created a succession plan for that position and your plan can be managed in the Succession Plan<\/strong> panel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have the option to fill in notes about the position in the notes section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0Adding candidates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can add candidates that have been identified to fill this role within the company or add external candidates.\u00a0 To add a candidate to the succession plan, click the add icon<\/strong> under the candidates area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Search for an employee that exists within your organization chart or leave blank if the candidate is an external candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click on the candidate to add notes to the candidate\u2019s information.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To view the internal candidate in the organizational chart, click the chart<\/strong> icon<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To view the internal candidate’s profile card, click the profile card <\/strong>icon<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To delete the candidate from the candidate list, click the garbage can <\/strong>icon<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can continue adding candidates by clicking the add <\/strong>icon in the candidate area.\u00a0 The maximum number of candidates for each succession plan is 10 candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
