Below, you will find instructions for a number of supervisor assignment functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that if you are a\u00a0Insperity\u00ae\u00a0HR<\/strong>360\u00a0client, the primary supervisor updates will need to be made in Insperity Premier, via Manage Employees > Overview > Employees. Select the employee name, then Job Information > Position to make the desired change.<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0Please contact your Payroll Specialist if you have any questions about how to make this update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secondary supervisor assignments and non-HR360 assignments can be made directly in Time & Attendance as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I promote an employee to a supervisor?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Assign New Security Permissions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to Security Setup>User Security<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select the new supervisor\u2019s username in the Select User Dropdown<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scroll down on the page to the Group Membership<\/strong> section<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Security Group in the \u2018Group Membership\u2019 section will generally be an Employee Level<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remove the Employee Group Membership<\/strong> and replace with a Manager or Supervisor Group Membership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click Save<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add Employees to the New Supervisor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to Global Update>Employee Update<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In \u2018Select a Function<\/strong>:\u2019 dropdown choose Supervisor<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assignment Action<\/strong>:  Add<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Supervisor<\/strong>: Choose the name of the promoted employee<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Effective Date<\/strong>: This date should always be the start date of a pay period<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stop Date<\/strong>: Leave this blank unless this is a limited assignment<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlight employees in the \u2018Available\u2019 box that will be assigned to the new supervisor and click the << button<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOTE: Holding down Ctrl will allow you to highlight multiple employees individually<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOTE: Holding down Shift will allow you to highlight multiple employees at one time<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click SAVE<\/strong>. The employees should now be assigned to the new supervisor<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I assign supervisors to multiple employees at once?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After logging into your system, use the left-hand side to navigate to Global<\/strong> Update<\/strong> > Employee<\/strong> Update<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From there, use the dropdown box in the upper-right of the page (the one that reads Select a Function<\/strong>) and choose Supervisor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
