Can I add time off hours as a reward for an employee?<\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__contentwrap\">The&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/knowledge-base\/accruals-making-accrual-adjustments\/\" target=\"_blank\">Accruals- making accrual adjustments<\/a>&nbsp;article contains instructions for adding a manual adjustment.<br><br>Entering a negative amount will deduct that time from their balance (e.g. for time off that wasn\u2019t recorded before the period was closed) and entering a positive amount will add that time to their balance (e.g. for a bonus accrual award).<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-toggle wp-block-hb-toggle\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__title\"><span>What do I need to do to stop an employee from accruing time off when they are on a leave of absence?<\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__contentwrap\">The&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/knowledge-base\/leave-of-absence\/\" target=\"_blank\">Leave of absence<\/a>&nbsp;article covers the 3 things that need to be considered when an employee is on leave, including how to suspend their accruals. The user still may have employee-level permissions rather than supervisor-level permissions. See&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/knowledge-base\/supervisor-assignments\/\" target=\"_blank\">Supervisor assignments<\/a>&nbsp;for updating assignments.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-toggle wp-block-hb-toggle\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__title\"><span>What do I need to do in Time and Attendance when an employee has a status change?<\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__contentwrap\">To change an employee\u2019s pay group due to a change in employment status (e.g., part-time to full-time), follow these steps:<br><br>1. Select employee\u2019s name<br>2. Go to&nbsp;<strong>Employee Maintenance &gt; Employee Assignments &gt; Groups<\/strong>&nbsp;and make sure you are on the Pay Group tab<br>3. Click on the \u201c<strong>Add New<\/strong>\u201d button<br>4. Select the desired pay group from the list<br>5. The&nbsp;<strong>Effective Date<\/strong>&nbsp;will default to the first day of the current pay period<br>6. Click \u2018<strong>Save<\/strong>\u2019 at the bottom of the page<br><br>If an employee is changing pay periods, please follow these next steps, you can reference this article:&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/knowledge-base\/i-need-to-change-pay-periods\/\" target=\"_blank\">I need to change pay periods for my employee. How do I do this?<\/a><br><br>The accruals can be updated via the&nbsp;<strong>Employee Maintenance &gt; Employee Assignments &gt; Groups &gt; Accrual Groups<\/strong>&nbsp;tab. Click the&nbsp;<strong>ADD NEW&nbsp;<\/strong>button, select the appropriate accrual group, and click the&nbsp;<strong>SAVE&nbsp;<\/strong>button.<br><br>This change will take effect as of the first day of the \u2018current pay period\u2019 when the change is made and cannot be back- or future-dated.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-toggle wp-block-hb-toggle\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__title\"><span>How do I close the pay period when there are open requests?<\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__contentwrap\">In order to close a pay period, all open requests must be addressed.  Please see the&nbsp;article <a href=\"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/knowledge-base\/managing-employee-requests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Managing employee requests<\/a> to locate open requests for an employee.  <\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-toggle wp-block-hb-toggle\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__title\"><span>How do I cancel an open employee request?<\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__contentwrap\">If a request has not yet been answered, the employee can withdraw the request. If a request has been approved but the time off is no longer needed, the employee can submit a cancellation request or the supervisor or administrator can remove the time off from the employee\u2019s timesheet manually. The steps for each of these are outlined in the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.insperity.com\/bps\/knowledge-base\/managing-employee-requests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Managing employee requests<\/a> article.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-toggle wp-block-hb-toggle\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__title\"><span>How do I reset employee passwords for Time and Attendance?<\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__contentwrap\">If the employee is accessing Time and Attendance through Premier, then reach out to the Insperity Contact Center at 866-715-3552 for assistance.<br><br>For employees accessing Time and Attendance through a direct URL, then passwords can be reset for employees through&nbsp;<strong>Security Setup &gt; User Security<\/strong>. Click on the \u2018reset this user\u2019s password\u2019 link and enter the new password in the pop-up window that appears. Click&nbsp;<strong>SAVE<\/strong>.<br><br><em>Note: If your company doesn\u2019t use Single Sign On, change the field \u201cForce user to change password at next login:\u201d to Yes<\/em><br><br>Supervisors can often also reset passwords for their direct reports via the&nbsp;<strong>Account &gt; Account Maintenance &gt; Supervisee Passwords<\/strong>&nbsp;tab.<br><br>They can select the employee from the Select Employee drop-down menu, check the Change Password? box, and then enter the new password in the New Password and Confirm Password fields.
