2025/2026 Federal Reserve and Insperity holiday schedule

It is important to note that Insperity’s closures do not always coincide with Federal Banking holidays. Below is a comprehensive list of holidays observed by either Insperity corporate offices and/or the Federal Reserve.

What happens if a holiday falls on a weekend?

For Insperity: Holidays that occur on a Saturday will be observed on the preceding Friday, and Sunday holidays will be observed on the following Monday.

For the Federal Reserve: If the holiday falls on a Saturday, Federal Reserve Banks and Branches will be open the preceding Friday with no interruption to direct deposit timing. For a holiday that falls on a Sunday, the Federal Reserve Banks and Branches will be closed the following Monday.

What happens If a payday falls on a bank holiday?

When the Federal Reserve is closed, direct deposit or tax payments will not be sent, and funds will not be settled on those days. You should not have checks dated on Federal Reserve holiday dates.

In addition, you might need to make adjustments if there’s a bank holiday at any point between your normal payroll processing day and payday to allow 3 business days for processing.
