This option will maintain the history record of the employee\u2019s previous employment with your company and the termination date. For more information about using Reboardng for rehiring an employee, please see the article <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/learning.myisolved.com\/library\/articles\/825\" target=\"_blank\">Reboarding <\/a>in isolved University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are not setup or do not wish to use Reboarding, you can continue with the Rehire steps below: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\">\n<li>Enter the following details<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rehire Date:<\/strong>&nbsp;This defaults to the current date and may be changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Adjusted Service Date:&nbsp;<\/strong>This field can be used to increase an employee\u2019s seniority with the company. Benefits and accrual plans may use the adjusted service date to allow this rehire to bypass any probationary period or increase the length of service for an accrual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Original Hire Date:&nbsp;<\/strong>Will be listed but will not be enabled for changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Status:&nbsp;<\/strong>This defaults to \u201cActive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Employment Category:<\/strong>&nbsp;The default will be the employee\u2019s original Employment Category but can be changed by using the drop-down. This warning is informational only, the system will still allow the rehiring of the employee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\">\n<li>Click on the&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>&nbsp;icon to activate the employee based on the Rehire Date.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The original hire date and the rehire date will appear on the&nbsp;<strong>General<\/strong>&nbsp;screen.
