Changing the appraiser on a live review

After your cycle has been launched, you can change the appraiser and/or endorser on any performance reviews that are in a live cycle.

Note that doing so will not change any employee records; the assigned supervisor or alternate reviewer for an employee will remain unchanged until the employee profile is edited, if necessary.

In the left-hand menu under the Administration tab, select Cycle-Based Reviews.

On the far right of the review cycle the employee is a part of, click the Manage icon.

In the Tool Box, click Appraiser Update.

For this example:

  • The employee is Dave Costello
  • “Incorrect” or currently assigned appraiser is Kevin Morrison
  • “Correct” or new appraiser is Teresa Dosier

Step 1: Enter the “incorrect” or currently assigned appraiser information

A. Enter the “incorrect” or currently assigned appraiser’s last name, first name, and/or employee ID number. Please note that you do not have to enter all three fields and can also enter just the first few letters of the employee’s name.
B. Click Search.
C. Select the incorrect appraiser’s name.
D. Click Next.

Step 2: Enter the “correct” or new appraiser’s name

A. Enter the “correct” or new appraiser’s last name, first name, and/or employee ID number. Please note that you do not have to enter all three fields and can also enter just the first few letters of the employee’s name.
B. Click Search.
C. Select the correct appraiser’s name.
D. Click Next.

Step 3: Select the employee’s name that requires an appraiser update

Uncheck any employee who should not have their appraiser updated. Please note that any red outlines will indicate that a change cannot be made to the employee in red because an employee cannot appraise themselves.

Save appraiser changes or update endorser

Click the save icon in the Tool Box. If your review cycle includes the endorser workflow step, continue to step 4.

Step 4: Select the new endorser

There are three options: Keep the currently assigned endorser, select a new endorser by selecting their name, or use the new appraiser’s supervisor. Once you’ve selected an option, click Next.

Step 5: Select the employee’s name that requires the endorser update

Uncheck any employee who should not have their endorser updated. Please note that any red outlines will indicate that a change cannot be made to the employee in red because an employee cannot appraise themselves.

Save the appraiser and endorser changes

Click the save icon in the Tool Box.
