Benefit enrollment from the employee’s perspective

This Quick Help topic reviews the benefit enrollment process for employees. The enrollment experience is similar for new hire / rehire enrollments, open enrollments, and enrollments due to qualifying life events.

Employees using the Adaptive Employee Experience (AEX)

Most clients offer the Adaptive Employee Experience (AEX) so employees can complete benefit enrollment from any device: phones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers. AEX screens scale to the size of the device so it’s easy to use anywhere.

Employees using ESS Classic View

ESS Classic View provides a full-screen layout for use on laptop and desktop computers. AEX users can switch to Classic View by clicking the bell icon to open the menu and selecting Classic View. While benefit enrollment is available in both AEX and Classic View, submitting qualifying life events with supporting documentation is only available in Classic View.

Note: the menu name has changed since this Quick Help video was created. The Open Enrollment menu is now called Benefit Enrollment.
