Clearing the browser cache
What is a browser cache, and why does clearing it help?
Web-based applications store temporary files in your browser so pages load faster and save bandwidth. That temporary storage is called the browser cache. Images, fonts, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and other technical components are saved there.
Since isolved People Cloud, the Adaptive Employee Experience (AEE) and the isolved People Cloud mobile app are web-based applications, they store temporary files in the browser cache.
If you experience issues logging in or accessing a page within the Insperity HRCore™ technology platforms, clearing your browser cache may resolve them. Sometimes, the item stored in the cache is older than the one the application needs to use, but the browser gets confused and tries using the cached version. That can lead to glitches where your page shows outdated information, looks strange, or doesn’t load the right information. Clearing the cache will fix the problem if that’s the issue.
How to clear the browser cache
Instructions will vary based on the browser you’re using. But you should always start by closing all open tabs in that browser.
There is a difference between the browser cache and cookies. Cookies store specific details about your usage of the application. They store information like credentials and login details, items in your shopping cart, search history, and user preferences. So, if you don’t want to lose your saved user details, try just clearing the cache but leaving history and cookies.
We recommend clearing the cache for all time, not just the last hour or day.
